Bang Pra Non-Hunting Area
We birded here in November of 2007 with guide
Peter. On January 16,
2009, Tip and I hired a driver in
Pattaya to take us back to this wonderland of birds.

Green-billed Malkoha
This very common resident can be found all over Thailand.
White-crested Laughingthrush
These guys are a true delight.

Blue-tailed Bee-eater
This is one of Tip's favorites because of the coloring.
Greater Racket-tailed Drango
It's amazing he can drag those tails into flight.
Little Cormorant
Cute.
Black-winged Stilt
No. This isn't the Stilt we've seen in Hawaii and the mainland US.
Plain Prinia
I think this is the herberti race.
Asian Openbill
A very impressive bird.
Red-wattled Lapwing
Cool at first glance, but its noise became annoying.
Indian Roller
Brilliant blue in flight.
Stonechat
Very common all over Thailand.
Rufous Treepie
Fairly well hidden even with bright coloring.
Black-naped Oriole
Tip took this picture from the van.
Yellow-vented Bulbul
Thirty-six species of Bulbuls can be found in Thailand.
Green Bee-eater
Another of Tip's favorites.
